About PIREPs

PIREPs (Pilot Reports) are real-time observations from pilots reporting turbulence encountered during flight. These reports are crucial for aviation safety and provide actual conditions rather than forecasts. Note: Automated position reports (ARPs) are filtered out to show only manual pilot reports. "Other" category includes reports about weather conditions, icing, visibility, etc. without turbulence data. Click any marker to see detailed information including altitude, aircraft type, and report time.
